Abstract:
The most important attribute of a great university teacher is the ability to engage and influence students to produce the highest quality graduates. The question I like to raise and try to answer is `What are the factors that encourage university students with their long lasting learning ?' My humble opinion is that many of these factors fall within the influence of the teacher.
In this talk I offer my personal experience and exploration of these factors as they relate to the field of Statistics.
