We are thrilled to announce that we have come out on top across Australian universities in the ASIA 100 - Benchmarking University Research, by Barlow Advisory.
In Barlow Advisory's most recent report, UNSW Mathematics and Statistics ranked first in Australia for Applied Mathematics, second in Australia for Pure Mathematics, and third in Australia for Statistics.
We are the only university in the country to have each of the three discipline areas in Mathematics and Statistics ranked in the Top 3.
The ASIA 100 reports evaluate the research performance of Australasian and East Asian universities. It grades research in 60 key discipline areas. The ranking considers research outputs and citations, rather than historical performance and reputation.
